Concours d’Elegance

The Barrington Concours d’Elegance, Legends & Legacies, will be held on October 5, 2008, at the magnificent Arlington Park.

. . . . . . . .

Join us at Arlington Park on Sunday, October 5, 2008, for the second annual Barrington Concours d’Elegance, Legends & Legacies. The show will feature a juried exhibition of 100 of the world’s most rare classic, historic, and sports cars in 12 classes. As a new feature in 2008, we will also be featuring a Concours Couture (period dress) class and a motorcycle class. Special Ride & Drive opportunities featuring exciting new vehicles by Bentley and Hyundai and exhibits by various automobile companies will make this a spectacular day for automobile aficionados and families alike.

Located just 40 miles northwest of Chicago and 30 minutes from O’Hare International Airport, the Barrington area is renowned for its expansive horse farms, wide-open prairie vistas, rolling hills, and magnificent country estates. This year’s Concours venue, Arlington Park, is a Churchill Downs company and is the premier horse-racing facility in the Midwest. Arlington Park will provide a stunning backdrop for our elegant showfield.

Legends and Legacies is a result of the collaborative vision of the event’s hosts and charity beneficiaries, Barrington Area Conservation Trust and Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, who believe in the strength of partnership and who work diligently to preserve and promote some of the most important legacies of the Barrington area: compassion, conservation, and community involvement. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Concours are split equally between these two extraordinary charitable organizations.
